IDA is using XML files to exchange data, so it is very easy to import or export information once you have the XSD file and the IDA DataExchange document.

It depends more of the size of the xml import file. It’s recommended not to exceed the size of 100 megabytes (unzipped) for each single file imported. (20 000 – 30 000 works).
8 - Who do I contact if I have questions concerning IDA?
Website: go to the contact page here

A work is considered duplicate in IDA when a certain number of fields are the same or similar. (title, subtitle, right owners, production year etc).
The duplicates detection is based on a scoring system.
Societies can filter on types of duplicates and on different scorings.
18 - Can I put the local title of a work in IDA?
Yes you can, any alternative, local, different spelling titles are important for idenitification purposes. Besdides that,IDA will generate a standard title for each title. There is no limit for the numbers of titles of the work, but there can only be ONE Main title/Original title and this title should be in the original language.
19 - Do I need to be in IPI to use IDA?
You have to register right owners in IPI in order to insert the rights owners of a work into IDA. Right owners must have an IPI reference.
20 - Do I need to register all my works in ISAN before uploading in IDA?
No, this is not necessary. IDA is matching periodically new imported works with ISAN to retrieve eventual missing ISANs. ISAN keep the IDA work in its database and will repeat the matching until the work has got one.
21 - How does IDA retrieve information from the ISAN database?
IDA is making a XML export file of the ISANless works and that ISAn imports to its own database. ISAN is making the matching the works against its repertoire and, if there are results, sends the retrieved ISAN numbers to IDA. IDA integrates the ISANs and concerned IDA users can download them directly from IDA (in CSV format).
